Aren’t vintage maps wonderful? This one is from the late 1800’s and we were struck by the lovely detail around the edges of the paper. They don’t have a thing to do with geography, but are just some lovely details that make the map special and pleasing to view. Evan double matted it with a black core mat and cut a couple of subtle, decorative lines into the top mat to compliment decorative detail of the image without overwhelming. Notice how it draws your eye right into the map? The frame is an understated walnut with just a hint of distressing along the edges.
